Protection against money laundering

We are working proactively to protect our customers, our business and society against criminal acts such as money laundering and financing of terrorism. We take our corporate social responsibility seriously and have consequently introduced new procedures and rules to fight money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

Nordea Liv & Pension and all other Danish financial businesses are subject to a number of requirements under Danish anti-money laundering legislation. As a customer you may be required to complete a Know Your Customer form and provide proof of your identity when:

  • you enter into a customer relationship
  • your customer relationship changes
  • benefits are paid.

What does it mean?

Under Danish legislation Nordea Liv & Pension has a special awareness duty. This awareness duty requires us to know all our customers. As a customer you may be required to provide proof of identity even though you have been a customer of ours for many years. We must be certain that we are in contact with the right person so this also is a safeguard for you.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
